Job Description – Sr Windows Systems Administrator – Active Directory

Primary Role:
The Candidate needs to be an experienced senior-level – Windows System Administrator with
proficiency to work on all aspects of Windows Systems & services with VMWare based virtualized
Windows infrastructure in addition to advanced Active Directory administration supporting Active
Directory operations, DNS, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy Object administration, Microsoft
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
Subject matter expert that has global responsibility for the design and configuration of the Active
Directory and Windows Server environment.
Capable of applying critical thinking to solve complex technical problems; be fully conversant with
VMWare based Server virtualization technologies on HP ProLiant & DELL server implementations;
Skills / Expertise required:
8+ years of extensive experience on the following:
- Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology
including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Organizational Units. - Windows Server operating system (Windows 2016, Windows 2012/R2, and Windows 2008/R2)
Server. - Microsoft Windows Active Directory 2016, 2012 R2.
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD)
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012.
- Managing large server farms, particularly with respect to updating and maintaining operating
system levels, security, and reducing administration efforts. - VMware vSphere 6.x with VMware vCenter Operations Manager.
- Storage / Network / Unix administration experience is preferable
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Manage and support 2000 plus Windows servers that support a variety of Infrastructure
services, Applications & databases, and other mission-critical systems/services. - Design and architect a global Active Directory Infrastructure, including, design and
implementation of Group Policy. - Plan and execute Active Directory Domain level upgrades, design Group Policy Objects as
requested to ensure compliance of company policies for servers and user endpoint devices - Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory, GPO, Active Directory Federated Services, Name
Resolution (DNS) and password/identity management systems. - Work with stakeholders and other technical teams to collect business and technical
requirements and design / deliver enterprise-level solutions. - Act as a member of the Windows Active Directory Domain Administrator Support Team in
providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations; coordinate day-to-day
operations, apply security patches/fixes, and implement domain-level security policies such as
authentication mechanisms, password policies, and rules, IPSEC policies, etc. - Search out and implement new technologies to continually simplify the environment and
improve operational efficiencies such as but not limited to developing scripts for automation
and orchestration of tasks related to IT operations and maintenance. - Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows Servers (Windows 2008/R2,
Windows 2012/R2 and Windows 2016) and related technologies. - Actively participate in the design and implementation of upcoming IT projects as directed.
- Install servers /software patches and updates on a regular basis
- Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement the resolution.
- Responsible for a critical response for all related areas. This position also includes a rotating OnCall 24×7 schedule responding to critical events and situations outside normal work hours
requiring additional hours on a regular basis. - Collaborate in authoring system documentation, policies, processes, and procedures.

Education and Qualifications:
